About the project
Kshitij is a short film exploring photography, consent and the relationship between the person behind the camera and the person being photographed.
My role
I worked as the writer and director of the film.
The project
The story follows a student photographer whose interaction with a balloon seller raises questions about observation, representation and the assumptions we make about people through images.
Process
The project involved developing the screenplay, directing performances and using photography itself as an important part of the narrative.
What I learned
Kshitij made me think more carefully about consent, representation and the responsibility that comes with documenting another person.
